Garment weight and price: Tapstitch is cheaper for heavier blanks
Compare like with like. Tapstitch's Essential Cotton T-Shirt (RT0063) is 260 gsm and costs $5.99 blank. Each printed side adds $2.99 from international fulfillment or $3.49 from its US warehouse. The closest Printful heavyweight tee, the Comfort Colors 1717, is $15.60 with a front print at the smallest size.
Hoodies follow the same pattern. Tapstitch's Essential Heavyweight Hoodie (RW0016) is 430 gsm and $22.99 blank, so $25.98 with a front print. Printful's Bella + Canvas 4719 (10 oz) is $37.23. The Gildan 18500 at $22.63 is cheaper, but it is a standard mid-weight hoodie, not a heavyweight one.

Printful charges $4.95 for the first tee and $2.20 for each extra one. Tapstitch's Los Angeles warehouse is cheaper per order ($4.44 first, $0.50 to $2.20 extra) and delivers in 3 to 6 business days, but only 59 of its 1,244 products ship from there.
Everything else ships from China: $4.96 for the first tee, about 10 days average transit, plus 3 to 7 business days of production. Shipping scores 6.3/10 in our analysis of Tapstitch reviews, and some buyers report US-fulfillment orders arriving from China. If fast US delivery on every SKU matters most, Printful is the safer choice.
Branding and subscriptions
Tapstitch offers custom neck labels, 350 gsm hang tags, and insert cards, and ships with no mention of Tapstitch. Neck labels are available from international fulfillment only. Printful lists inside labels at $0.99 and outside labels at $2.49, with packaging and inserts at custom pricing, plus embroidery and all-over print.
Neither requires a subscription. Printful's Growth plan ($24.99 a month, free once sales reach $12K a year) takes up to 33% off products and 9% off branding. Even at the full 33% off, the Comfort Colors 1717 would be about $10.45, still above Tapstitch's $8.98. Tapstitch has no paid tier.
